Trompeter Performance Improvements Validated in 2006 Bishop Survey

– Overall Customer Ranking Jumps Four Positions; Highest Scores in Technical Expertise and Customer Service Measures –

ST. CHARLES, IL (December 19, 2006) --- The overall customer performance rating for Trompeter, a producer of RF interconnect products, increased by four positions in the 2006 Bishop & Associates Connector Industry Survey. Trompeter’s ranking rose to tenth overall, and gains in the new business process measures (sample delivery, turn time to new designs) drove the overall rating improvement.

Trompeter’s highest overall performance ratings in the survey were for Technical Expertise, Requested Delivery Dates, and Inside Sales - while the highest gains were in Web Site, Product Samples Order Lead Time, and Turn Time to New Designs.

Trompeter executives attribute the increase in performance ratings by customers to process improvements implemented in 2005 during the company’s consolidation of operations in its Mesa, AZ manufacturing facility. According to Dale Reed, senior vice president of sales and marketing for parent company Stratos International, “Trompeter has once again fully achieved industry leading performance levels in lead time and on-time delivery, and has completed the implementation of engineering and manufacturing process innovations in our Mesa, AZ facility.  We’re very proud that Trompeter customers perceive a positive change in our traditional strengths in delivering rock-solid quality and design-rich part performance.”
